Day 1: Guatemala City - Antigua (D)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the Guatemala City International Airport and transferred through the scenic mountains to Antigua Guatemala - 45-minute drive. As you arrive, you will have the first glimpse of this charming colonial town and you will check-in to your hotel.

Day 2: Antigua (B,D)
After breakfast, you will be greeted in your hotel by our tour guide. You will start your day with a full morning walking tour of Antigua which includes a visit to the Colonial District, Main Cathedral, Municipal Hall and Jade Factory. During this tour you will be acquainted with Antigua and you will find plenty of places to visit.

Day 3: Antigua (B,D)
Your first morning stop will be at one of the most impressive colonial museums, Casa Popenoe, where the famous agricultural scientist Wilson Popenoe lived. You will admire a good collection of spanish paintings and colonial artefacts which are displayed throughout the corridors and rooms of the house. Your next stop will be at Casa Kojom, the Maya Music Museum, where a video presentation will give you a good idea of the Maya instruments that have survived through time. In the afternoon you will be free to explore on your own.

Day 4: Antigua – Lake Atitlan (B,D)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Panajachel town in Lake Atitlan. Lake Atitlan is one of the most impressive lakes in the Central American Region. Surrounded by Maya villages, this lake offers a great variety of cultural activites. In the afternoon you will visit Santa Catarina, a Maya village with a very distinctive way of living. You will learn that the village´s important sources of income are agriculture and craftmaking.

Day 5: Lake Atitlan – Chichicastenango (B,D)
You will leave on a day trip to the Maya village of Chichicastenango - 2-hrs drive. Your first stop will be at the Santo Thomas Church, in which a blend of the old and new world religions is found. You will discover a unique variety of Maya arts and crafts.

Day 6: Lake Atitlan - Guatemala City – Tikal (B,D)
This morning you will head to Guatemala City - 4-hrs drive. On the way, you will stop at a typical hacienda restaurant for a light lunch. You will continue on to Guatemala City and stop at The National Palace Museum in the main square of the city. After visiting the museum, you will leave to the airport for your domestic flight to Tikal. Upon arrival, our tour guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 7: Tikal (B,L,D)
One of the most incredible Maya Sites with some of the tallest temples, Tikal will impress you as it is considered the metropolis of the Maya World. After breakfast, our tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and will guide you through the Site. You will spend most of the day exploring the jungle canopy and the Maya temples; lunch will be provided on site. A visit to the Ceramic Museum is also included in
your program.

Day 8: Tikal – Guatemala City – Copan (B,D)
After an early breakfast, you will catch a flight from Tikal to Guatemala City. From Guatemala City you will be transferred to Copan in Honduras - 5-hrs drive. At twilight our tour guide will take you on a stroll to get acquainted with this charming colonial town and dinner will be served in a typical restaurant in town.

Day 9: Copan Archaeological Day (B,D)
Considered to be the main center of Maya investigations, Copan has some of the best carved stelae in the whole Maya region as well as some of the best preserved Maya hieroglyphics. A visit will be organized to see the ancient buildings through both available underground tunnels, Los Jaguares & Rosalila. A visit to the Sculptural Museum is also included in your program.

Day 10: Copan – San Pedro Sula Airport (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the San Pedro Sula Airport for your
international flight or post-extension trip to Roatan
